Keita who loves to play football has lived in a suburb of Sapporo since his birth but some families have moved into and out of his area. Keita particularly misses three good friends who had to move away with their families. All these three boys happened to have the same name, Yuhki. However, this year another Yuhki transfers to his class. This Yuhki is a slender girl with a long hair. She is mysterious, and soon attracts the attention of his classmates. Keita does not think he can be her friend but…… ?This is a sensitive story of a tender-hearted 12-year-old boy and his friendship with Yuhki, the newcomer in his class.

Yu Ito was born in Kyoto in 1958 and started to write for children in 1996. She received the Children’s Literature Fantasy Award in 1997 with her novel Oni no Hashi (Demon’s Bridge).
